This four-day experience brings together sport, heritage, and living history, offering a layered encounter with northern Germany’s cultural landscape. Polo provides one focal point, while the Schwerin Festival offers another — a rare moment when a historic city steps back into its past.

Guests are welcomed at Hamburg Airport and transferred privately to a characterful countryside hotel located between Hamburg and Schwerin. The setting allows for both ease of movement and a sense of retreat, with comfort and atmosphere taking precedence.

One day of the experience is dedicated to polo, attended as guests within a social setting shaped by tradition and contemporary practice. Another day unfolds in Schwerin, home to Schwerin Castle, one of the most significant heritage landmarks of Northern Germany and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set on an island surrounded by lakes, the castle has long been associated with the region’s former ducal court and remains central to Mecklenburg’s cultural identity.

During the festival weekend, Schwerin transforms into its historical self. Streets, squares, and courtyards become stages for music, period dress, craftsmanship, and performance, allowing the city’s past to be experienced as something active rather than distant. The festival atmosphere is immersive yet grounded, offering context without spectacle.

Dining throughout the experience reflects the region itself. Meals are shaped around local ingredients and fine-dining standards, balancing tradition with contemporary refinement.
